Accountant

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
5+ years experience in bookkeeping
Experience working at a CPA firm preferred
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics and business conduct
Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
Highly proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Tax Software
Knowledge about construction, hospitality and/or healthcare industry a plus

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with account reconciliation, payroll, account analysis and preparation of financial statements
Support the accounting team in day-to-day operations
Assist with tax preparation and filing
Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Works as required during tax season to meet federal and state deadlines
Perform other related tasks as needed

Skills

Strong understanding of basic accounting GAAP principles
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly proficient with spreadsheets, accounting software and data entry
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Collaborative with colleagues at all levels
